And what a day it was!!! The July Up North Vintage Market was held yesterday July 25 instead of on its original date of July 18 due to all the wildfire smoke last week.and are we ever glad we waited. Fabulous weather, fabulous finds from our fabulous vendors and an even more fabulous crowd in record numbers! Thanks and we love you to everyone who participated!

Straight from the pages of the Houghton Lake Resorter this morning is our ad to insure we get a mob this Saturday July 25 at our Up North Vintage Market second market of the season. Even bigger than the June market, this replacement event for last week's Wildfire Smokey Saturday will be hot! hot! hot! all on its own!
We've got incredible vintage finds from all over Michigan including mid-century modern, industrial, primitives, country victorian and thousands of collectibles in every imaginable category!!! Plus, this month several talented artists will join us who work in mediums as diverse as paint, pottery, wood, jewelry, soap...and license plates!!!
The food will be better than ever, with Amish baked goods and Moonlit Farms Honey being joined by Rex's Coney Island, whose creative breakfast and lunch choices promise new taste sensations and some old favorites too. Doug Thomas will be on hand to serenade us through the luncheon hours.
There are some other events in town this weekend, most notably the Hippie Fest at the Playhouse, but guess what? None of them offer a field full of VINTAGE TREASURE HUNTING, none of them start at 9am and most run later than 4pm. You can easily spend an hour or so vintage picking before heading off to another event. Admission is free and though we advertise a start time of 9, if you happen to push the envelope by showing up at 8:30 this Saturday we won't turn you away.

Sorry every body, but the only responsible thing to do was to postpone tomorrow's market till next Saturday July 25. Both vendors and regular attendees have been calling all day saying they can not vend or shop outdoors with the present air quality still a factor. We have a full roster of wonderful vintage vendors who will be chomping at the bit to unload their wares next Saturday. And just think...they will have had a whole extra week to pick and pack more incredible vintage finds!
One more suprise: Not only will the Amish be on board with their wonderful pastries, but Rex's Coney Island will be our new food truck, supplying complete breakfast and lunch menus!!! Whoo whoo!!! Good food, good music, great finds and great times! Hope to see you Saturday July 25 from 9-4.

UP NORTH VINTAGE MARKET IS THIS SATURDAY!!!
Only 4 more days to wait for Northern Michigan's ONLY summer monthly vintage market. We bring you an ever-changing roundup of fantastic vintage vendors from around the state. We have our loyal locals who manage to bring new and exciting merch every single time, and now, six years in, our reputation has spread and enticed vendors from farther afield to showcase their wares and join in the fun. This month we have vendors from Hillman, Baldwin, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Bay City, Sanford, Hale, Grayling, Ga***rd and Gladwin as well as those from every corner of Roscommon County exhibiting antiques, painted cottage furniture, rustic cabin style, hunting and fishing, antique books, jewelry, pottery and glass and many unusual collectibles. Out Amish baked goods booth will be right at the center of the market along with the new food truck run by Rex's Coney Island of Houghton Lake where both breakfast and lunch will be available. Plan to make it an outing. Meet friends and make sure everyone finds at least one special treasure.Take a break at lunchtime and listen to artfully performed vintage folk and rock by Higgins Lake's own Doug Thomas between the hours of 11 and 2.

Only 9 days till the second Up North Vintage Market of 2026. If you were at the first one back in June, then you already know the thrill of the hunt, and the delight when you actually find a treasure you love. On July 18 we're going to do it all again with a few new twists to keep you on your toes. Some brand new vendors ( along with our great regulars)with still more great old stuff, plus Rex's Coney Island with a really fun festival menu providing all kinds of great new food choices promises to make the day truly a special one. Put it on your calendar and get there early for the best deals. Plenty of parking at both ends of the park.

The next Up North Vintage Market is on Saturday, July 18 and it promises to be even bigger than the June market, and introduce even more first time Vintage vendors. We sure had some amazing stuff show up in June. Ron Pawlaczyk of Augres brought several gorgeous Vintage boat motors.One even came with a boat. He has a prior commitment for July but will be back in August.
