Another AFTERLIFE is finished, tested, and ready to ship.

The AFTERLIFE is my take on the Life Pedal, but miniature, combining Rat style distortion, an analog octave up section, selectable clipping, and a separate boost in one compact pedal.

Heavy, nasty, and built for big riffs, doom, sludge, and anything that needs to get absolutely crushed.

We’ve got another one in the works at Third Floor Effects, and I’m really excited about this one.

We’re doing our own take on the classic Rangemaster, built in the big box style and loaded with NOS components.

The goal with this build is to keep everything that made the original Rangemaster so special, but give us a lot more control when we’re building and dialing each one in.

We’ve added dedicated test points to the PCB so every unit can be properly measured and checked during the build process. We’re also adding biasing trimmers so we can fine tune the circuit around the actual NOS transistor being used instead of relying on fixed values and hoping everything lands where we want it.

One of the coolest additions is a 5 way selectable input capacitor switch.

The original Rangemaster is famous for that cutting treble boost, but changing the input capacitor can completely change how much low end gets through the circuit. With five selectable values, you’ll be able to go from the classic sharp Rangemaster bite to progressively thicker, fuller, nastier boost settings.

So instead of being locked into one Rangemaster sound, this thing will have five different voices while still keeping the character of the original circuit.

5-way selectable input capacitor.

We’re going all out on this one.

I think this is going to be a seriously badass pedal, and I cannot wait to get the first one built and hear it cranked into a loud amp.
