Camp Perry started out with I believe an improvement over the last few years. THEN, the Canadian Wildfire Smoke HIT !!! For Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, i was covered up with customers. I only had to do (2) trigger jobs to make weigh in weight. Sales were VERY Good. Then the range was closed on Thursday and today due to unsafe air pollution from the fires. If fact, there is a general health warning in place !!! Things at Camp Perry have ground to a stop. Many people have left for home. Masks are everywhere like Covid. Hopes are that the Ranges will open on Saturday. At this time, you can NOT see the targets from the parking lot on the ranges. I am here until August 5th. - Alan

I am HAPPY to report that I feel we have some NEW Competitors along with many return ones that missed 1 or 2 of the last years!!! The High Standard Banner and Interarms Banner are VERY Visible. I have already taken orders for a few High Standard 22s and one Camp Perry Match 45. The sales of Magazines, Parts, and Accessories have been GREAT as usual. Sadly, no Aguila Ammunition is available yet BUT, I expect to see some in approx 90 or less days. That is a guess from what I am told !!! There are many High Standard Pistols on the Line. I have NOT taken an actual Line Count, but in the last count High Standard was the HIGHEST % of 22s on the line. I actually feel that number has increased because of the requests for magazines and reports from test firing HERE. Also, I have checked the trigger pull weights on more pistols this year. I am sure this year will produce more sales than the last few years. I also feel that we will have an increase in the number of Pistol Competitors. I will check with the Stats Office after the Pistol Phase is over. I will be here thru August 4th to support the Rifle and Other Matches. People still find it hard to believe that we have High Standard Parts for ALMOST All of our pistols back to the Model B of 1932. Thank you to our longtime and new customers!!! I will be leaving soon for the 2026 National Matches at Camp Perry Ohio. This will be the 74th year for High Standard on Commercial Row Bldg 1022 A. High Standard holds the record of the longest continual space on Commercial Row. High Standard (CT) 1952 to 1982, GW Elliott/Bob Shea 1983 to 1992, High Standard (TX) 1993 to date. It is interesting (Great !!!) that High Standard (TX) now has MORE Years at Camp Perry than High Standard (CT). This will be my 33rd year at the matches. Time Flies- WOW !!! I believe that Bob Shea had 61 years (1952 to 2013) at the matches under the High Standard Banner. He holds the record and, I don't believe that it will ever be tied or exceeded. A few years ago one of the retiring Competitors gave me a CD (50 years of Bullseye). He had his old movies and current videos made into a GREAT CD. I am trying to get it put on our website for ALL to see. It is always great to see old friends and the NEW Competitors every year. Hope to see many of you at the Matches !!! - Alan Aronstein
