When I got sick in January of this year, and was bedridden for three full months, I decided to make a goal of truly improving my skin. At the same time, I joined Influenster to share my experiences with the products I was using and maybe even receive some free products to try. To my very pleasant surprise, I was selected to receive full size samples from Augustinus Bader, and a month into using The Cream and The Cleansing Gel, I’m hooked. My skin literally craves it when I use something else for a few days, but when using it the overall health of my skin is visibly better. Less redness, less reactive, fewer (actually no) eczema breakouts. The Cream is a serum, eye cream, treatment and moisturizer all in one. Talk about skinimalism! It is a bit pricey but not nearly what you would pay for La Mer, and it isn’t fragranced so it’s perfect for both men and women. The packaging is beautiful and the pump cap is designed to ensure you will be able to use every last drop of this miracle elixir. Check out my before/after pictures from just 14 days of use. That look when you throw some clothes together, love the result, and it changes your mood entirely. This is my every day with Zyia. I have been truly out of sorts, not feeling like myself at all, for nearly three months. COVID has been a rough journey and I am still far from well. Today, I'll begin one part of my pulmonary rehab (no idea what to expect!) But no matter how hard it's been, it has been a little easier to look and feel "put together" with little effort due to my Zyia apparel. The fabrics are soft and light enough to layer for the inevitable chills and hot spells (thanks to covid...) The styles look fresh and make me feel sexy, which is a tall order when you're really not feeling well physically! Today's look was so effortless I had to share. Our Slash Leggings are a touch daring, and they are the perfect excuse to wear my beloved combat boots 😍 I paired them with our new Angle Grid Performance Bra, which is so darn comfy I can't stop wearing it! Our (retired) Forest Namaste top has a sexy, drapey exposed back to show off the criss-cross straps of the bra. Topped with my favorite layering piece, our Boyfriend Lounge Cardigan in black. It's 75 and sunny in Houston today but I'll be in and out of the A/C, so the cardi is essential! Anyway, I was quite pleased with the result! Some of my fondest memories were made in the Outer Banks of North Carolina (OBX). The refined yet rugged coastline that expands for miles will forever be my drishti. To be on a spot of gorgeous beach in the peak of the summer season, having the entire beach as far as your eye will allow all to yourself, gives a feeling of oneness with nature. It is my deep, deep exhale.

One particularly remarkable memory of OBX was on the shores of Shackleford Banks, North Carolina, when I had the opportunity to photograph wild horses for two days with a group of dear friends, also professional photographers. To share that space with such beautiful, majestic creatures, if even for just a brief moment in time, filled my soul with peace and a deep appreciation for nature.
