This one is Hit Parade, and it’s always one of the first plants to bloom every year. The flowers open up by the end of an April, and it keeps on blooming all the way into fall.

It fascinates me how you can get such different shades on a single inflo.

I think I only have 1 of these ready to go home at our sale on Saturday. But don’t worry. We will make more, and there will be tons of other beautiful colors available.

A few of you have asked. I have 2-3 of these fully rooted from last year and flourishing. They’ll be ready to go to a new home on Saturday.

I made it home from work tonight at 8p. I had 45 minutes of daylight to pull some plants for saturdays sale.

Now I have to figure out how to get 50+ plumerias to my parents house by Saturday. 😳
Hopefully I can convince the Hubbs to help 😆

I’ve been so busy, and it keeps pouring - I haven’t had many flower posts lately
So here’s one for you.

Sometimes NOIDs get a bad rap.
Don’t get me wrong - rare, named varieties are exciting and fun to collect. But don’t let anyone make you feel bad about your NOID. They ALL started as NOIDs, and they can be just as beautiful!

We call this one “Honeymooner”, we’ve had her for 3 years and this is the first season that she’s bloomed.

3 years ago we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii. We drove past a huge overgrown grove near an abandoned golf course on the Big Island. It had all kinds of fallen branches in the road and grass. We gathered a few fallen branches to take home to our AirBNB. We cleaned them up, removed any soil, trimmed the dead/unhealthy parts, and stuck in zip locks full of perlite.

Customs let us bring them home. And this one survived. My husband has checked on nearly every day for 3 years to make sure it’s healthy, and HOPING it would get an inflo. I was so excited to show him it’s finally producing flowers! And what beautiful flowers they are.

Hopefully she’ll branch out and grow strong. And ima. Few years maybe we can share some baby “Honeymooners” with some of you! 🌸🌼

Well the weather has just not been cooperating with us. It stormed all weekend

The plan is that we WILL have a plumeria sale this coming weekend - rain 🌧️ or shine ☀️

The details are the same:
1) We book by appointment only
2) We book half hour time slots
3) We do require a $5 deposit to hold the spot - to ensure you show up 🙃 But you get the $5 back to apply to your plant 😉
4) We accept cash, credit, PayPal or Venmo
5) We have starter size plants, and for those of you that cannot wait for flowers, we have larger more mature plants too
6) Once we have you confirmed - we’ll send you the address (we are located on the south side of town, down near NASA.
7) Right now I am only booking times for Saturday. After that we will determine if we need to add more times on Sunday.
8.) You can book a time by messaging me on this page or by calling the phone number (it’s my cell.)

And just for good measure - I shall leave you with some cheerful bloom pics to wish the rain away!

I might possibly be more excited about this plumeria plant than any others this year - and it’s not even mine!

This plant is about 9’ tall now, and belongs to my parents. Some of you have purchased cuttings from it in past years.

It’s called Bali Whirl, and it is the only plumeria known to bloom in this “double petal” shape when the heat and humidity conditions are just right.

We have one at our house too, but it has yet to produce blooms in this cool pattern.

Anywho - I’ve been geeking out over it every time I go over to visit! Even the buds have a curled form that is different from any other plumeria plant I’ve seen!

It blooms in giant bunches of probably 3-4” star shaped blooms. The colors are just so vibrant!
Especially with the temperatures heating up!
