Hi, I’m Mehreen, the owner and one of the creators behind Mehr Designs. I’m a jewelry designer & maker and I also create some of our handmade crochet pieces.
Mehr Designs began after I graduated college, but the story behind it started much earlier. My love for creating jewelry began when I was just six years old, when my mom’s best friend—who had a jewelry business of her own—taught me how to make jewelry. I still remember picking up my first pair of jewelry-making tools in a bead store, surrounded by tables covered in colorful strands of beads and gemstones. I was fascinated by all the possibilities and had no idea that those first few creations would become the beginning of a lifelong passion.
Today, I design and create handmade jewelry using precious, semi-precious, and non-precious materials. I also create custom jewelry designs for bridal and non-bridal occasions, working with customers to bring their ideas, special moments, and personal style to life.
While Mehr Designs began with my passion for jewelry making, it has grown into something much more meaningful- a family run small business created with my mom, my little sister, and me.
Each of us brings our own creativity and perspective to Mehr Designs. My mom’s love of crochet and knitting, my passion for jewelry and natural stones, and my sister’s creativity and love for jewelry all come together to make our collections uniquely ours.
Whether it’s a custom piece for your wedding, everyday jewelry pieces, jewelry to celebrate a special moment, a meaningful gift, a colorful Ayna find, or a handmade crochet or knit creation from my mom, we want every piece to feel personal and thoughtfully made.
I believe handmade pieces have a special kind of meaning. They carry the time, creativity, and care that went into making them and I’m honored whenever something we create becomes part of someone’s story.
