A trimmed card just sold for $5.856 million.

Let that sink in for a second 😂

This T206 Honus Wagner is over 115 years old, one of only 3 known with a Piedmont back, and graded SGC Authentic with evidence of trimming.

Oh, and apparently it was valued at $25 in 1958.

This weekend?

$5,856,000.

That’s what I love about this hobby.

We can spend all day talking about PSA 10s, Black Labels, centering, and condition.

Then a card like this comes along and reminds us that sometimes the story, rarity, and history are just as important.

Okay, but imagine telling younger me that one day I’d be on the cover of Beckett talking about how to generate revenue through sponsorships in the collectibles industry. 😂🔥

Not a real cover, unfortunately… but honestly, this would have been a pretty cool dream come true back in the day.

The hobby has changed a lot, and there are so many opportunities beyond just buying and selling cards.

Venezuela was hit by two massive earthquakes on June 24. A 7.2 and a 7.5, less than a minute apart.

Dozens of buildings collapsed in Caracas and La Guaira. Over 4,000 injured. More than 50,000 missing, with people still being pulled from the rubble right now.

Neighbors are digging through concrete with their bare hands because there is not enough heavy equipment.

This is my home country. These are my people.

God blessed me with a World Cup in the country I reside, with a good game in the city I live, and with an incredible friend in who thought of me when he found 2 tickets! 🎟️⚽️

We were able to experience our very first FIFA World Cup game together, side by side, just how our friendship started in 2009 riding that Six Flags rollercoaster 😎🎢
