Big Blue Whale toys & curiosities is the go-to place for toys of every type and description, from beloved classics and the newly-discovered to handmade and vintage finds. Everything in the 2,000 square-foot shop is carefully chosen by owner Vanessa Wodehouse, a Heights resident, native Houstonian and mother.

We certainly are smiling!!! We have been waiting patiently for our Crazy Aaron's Enterprises Better Butter and it’s HERE!!! We placed a pretty hefty order but this probably won’t last long. It has definitely been one of the hottest items of the year. Might not be a bad idea to stash for stockings!!! See you soon!

Celebrate National Sisters Day at Big Blue Whale with illustrator, Lisa Chow! She will be reading the deliriously funny and poignant,
“Because of You, I’m a Sister,” by Jen Fier Jasinski, Author, on Sunday, August 2, at 2 PM!

Join us for an afternoon that will include a reading by the book’s very own illustrator, a craft, and stickers!!! And, Lisa will probably be happy to sign a book or two!
