Your next smart home upgrade is already being built. We just got a first look.

We spent a few days in Denver at CEDIA, a big gathering if vendors and dealers in home technology from all over the world.

Sat down with the manufacturer teams behind the systems we install in your home: Crestron, Lutron, Josh.ai and more. Saw what’s coming next in whole-home music, lighting, and smart controls before it hits the market.

We also stopped to celebrate. The Women in Consumer Technology luncheon honored several friends of ours doing incredible work in this industry, and it was a reminder of how much talent is behind the technology quietly running in the background of your home.

Simple. Beautiful. Reliable. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens because we show up to rooms like this one.

A little smoke, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of fun. 🔥 🌟

We had such a great time at the Summer Tenant Appreciation Happy Hour and Signature Cocktail Competition!

Introducing Pop Smoke! A smoky mezcal pomegranate margarita, served with star-shaped coconut milk ice and a playful Pop Rocks rim. Sweet, smoky, creamy, and just unexpected enough to keep things interesting.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, tried our cocktail, and shared a toast with us. We loved spending the evening with our fellow Houston Design Center tenants and celebrating the creative community we’re so fortunate to be part of.

Building, remodeling, or updating your home? Before you choose a home technology company, there are three things worth knowing. We are sharing all of them here, free, no phone call required.

Today’s CEU — Designing for Tech: Planning Smart Home Infrastructure — was all about helping architects, builders, and designers create homes that feel seamless, beautiful, and actually work the way families live.

Because hidden wiring, proper lighting design, strong Wi-Fi, shades and drapes, security, and integration? That should be part of the blueprint; not a last minute panic.
