Expensive equipment left on the floor, incorrectly wired, and heating each other up. This is what we found. Rear speakers installed, but without proper racking, cooling, or power protection. The homeowner kept asking why they were not feeling any bass after paying for it. Jo went to the attic. An in-ceiling subwoofer had been mounted, but the styrofoam vent plug was never removed. The tube was never opened. The bass was never going anywhere. This is the kind of thing a certified integrator finds. A general installer never checks. ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠

This home was built less than a year ago. No utility closet anywhere. Jo calls it unacceptable, and he is right. A 3x3 or 4x4 room designed in from the beginning costs almost nothing at the planning stage and pays off over the entire life of the home. No more giving up 50 percent of a coat closet to house a rack. This is a fixable problem. Start fixing it. ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠
