He said, “These are trash, they are completely destroyed and I don’t care for them” ( I could of gotten them for free) but I replied, “Well sir I’ll buy them from you because they don’t make them like they used to. I bet you had some awesome memories in them and those memories are definitely priceless but i dont believe they are trash.”

Purchased. Rehabbed. End Result.

Meeting genuine people and being genuine is absolutely priceless. I was hesitant to buy those boots because they were messed up, but I trusted myself enough to give them a try. Sometimes the best results come from taking a chance on something that doesn’t look perfect at first and the connection was a driven motivation. In the end, the boots turned out phenomenal, and it reminded me that believing in myself can turn something rough into something amazing.

Size 15 boots weren’t a common sight decades ago, especially if you wanted something well-made, stylish, and built with a narrower width. So how did bootmakers solve the problem without driving the price through the roof?

The answer was the Triad Cut.

A Triad Cut uses exotic leather on the areas that matter most visually the vamp and heel while the shaft is crafted from a more economical leather. Typical boot using 4 pieces of leather, Vamp, Counter and two shafts to 3 pieces, a vamp and a single front and back piece. The result is a handcrafted boot that delivers the look and character of a full exotic at a more accessible price point while wasting less material.

With the iconic French Toe, Saddle Brown color and by far one of the most comfortable leathers in the world, this is defintely one of my favs.

While the original roper was designed for rodeo competitors in the 1950’s, women’s ropers became especially popular from the 1970s through the 1990s. Women wore them not only for riding and ranch work but also for everyday fashion because they were easier to walk in than traditional high-heeled cowboy boots. Vintage collectors often find women’s Justin ropers in a wide variety of colors, exotic leathers, and decorative stitching from this era.

I love finding ropers and feel like everyone should have atleast 2-3 pairs!

Like cars it’s amazing to see how the colors evolved year after year… same model, same brand just a different year. From a shade with a tint of pearl to a satin subtle finish. Every pair in every year is just as amazing as the next.

I always say boots aren’t made like they used to… and I’m a firm believer of it. 80’s pearl finish (far right pair) just has so much more character than the 90’s (far left) to 00’s (center)
