Here's a little look into what's involved in the beginning of a new project.

First the wood is cut and planed to size. Then sanded down to 220 grit.

Second clear shelf liner or blue painters tape is cut to size and applied to the wood to make the pattern easier to remove later.

Then the back of the pattern is sprayed with adhesive and applied to the covered wood.

After all the pattern peices are glued on, it's time to start drilling. A tiny pilot hole is drilled for each spot the blade needs to be inserted for a cut.

After all the pilot holes are drilled the back of each piece is hand sanded with 220 paper to smooth the exit holes so they don't catch while cutting.

After this is all finished it's time to actually start cutting with the scrollsaw.

Stagecoach robbery scene. It's made with walnut, cherry, and maple. It's a 1/4" Baltic Birch plywood backer painted pale blue satin with maple clouds and the back is stained American Oak. It's mounted on a solid walnut base and finished off with Danish Oil.

This beautiful 3D layered wooden Moon Fairy is custom made of natural north American hardwood. It consists of walnut, oak, and aspen, arraigned so each layer enhances the beauty of the wood. Each one is individually made, so no 2 are exactly the same. Approximate dimensions are 7 1/2" x 7" x 3/4". This would be a wonderful addition to anyone's collection. Get yours today.

This item is made by hand on a scrollsaw with careful, personal attention to every detail. There were no computerized machines, such a CNC, used in the creation of this peice.
