In case you missed it, the Little Free Library was vandalized again. 🫠

This time, it seems whoever did it got frustrated when they couldn’t break the glass, so they took the time to snap off the inside frame and toss the glass on the other side of the sub. I truly don’t understand why someone would go out of their way to do something like this, but here we are. 🫣

We’ll fix it once again, but in the meantime, the library will need to remain empty. Without the proper protection, moisture gets in, and books simply can’t withstand the elements.

To the neighbors who keep an eye on the library and look out for it, thank you. We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️

Unfortunately, if this happens again, the library will need to be relocated to a spot where cameras can protect it.

These little libraries are meant to be a glimmer in the world and make books accessible to everyone. It’s disappointing to see something meant to bring a little good into the world treated this way.

We’ll keep doing our best to keep that little glimmer going. ✨

9-25 Cheers to Dolly today and always! 🩷🖤

I snuck a few Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library reads into the Little Free Library today, including The Rabbit Listened — which, if you’re an empath like me, is a very powerful little book 🥹❤️

I also added a few new books that have been made into movies, because sometimes you just need to read the book before you watch it!

She’s stocked, she’s ready and she’s waiting for all her weekend visitors. 📚✨ Happy reading!

I had to sneak in a little nod to football season, of course. 🏈 And I’m especially grateful to the person who sent us Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story — such an important read to have on the shelf ❤️

Truly, there’s something for everyone in the Little Free Library today so stop by! 🥰

Love this! One of my favorite things about getting used books are the notes, bookmarks and objects used as bookmarks inside. We’ve found old plane tickets, coupons from the 1980’s and soooo many random receipts.

Maybe one day we will find money 🤣

While many know her for music, those of us in literacy land, know her for her huge heart and love of getting books in the hands of children. The world lost an icon today 💔 RIP Dolly!

Her Imagination Library gifted over 300 million books to children around the world, spreading her love for reading far and wide.

From one literary icon to another, we will always love you Dolly. ❤️📚
