Thank you, Dayton Daily News and Nina Weierman, for featuring China Cottage and sharing the story of our beginnings.

We are continuously grateful for the Dayton community and the support you have shown our family throughout the years. Dayton has been a blessing to us since the day our family arrived here more than four decades ago, and we are so proud to continue calling this community home.

Tiger Wang, chef and owner of China Cottage, landed at the Dayton airport in 1985 at age 23, carrying a Chinese-to-English dictionary and just $50 in his pocket. He had come from Taiwan with his brother and sister to join their mother, who was already living in the Dayton area.

Your incredible support during our first week has been truly overwhelming, and we couldn’t be more grateful. To ensure we continue providing the quality food, handcrafted drinks, and friendly service you deserve, we are temporarily adjusting our hours at our HUBER HEIGHTS location to Sunday-Thursday
4:00 PM – 9:00 PM and Friday-Saturday 4:00 PM-10:00-PM.

These temporary hours will also allow our hardworking team time to rest and recharge while we recruit and train additional staff. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support as we grow. We can’t wait to continue serving you and your family for many years to come!
