From a standing tree in my yard to a weathered outdoor rocker, and now—back to its original glory!

This White Oak Adi-rocker-dack chair has a lot of history. After two years facing the elements, it had turned gray and a little rough. I took it out to the driveway for a deep sanding and a fresh coat of finish to bring it back to almost new and to preserve this heirloom piece for a long life.

I really don’t like working with stain! I’d much rather let the natural beauty of the wood shine through. But if you have to, gel stain is the way to go, IMHO…
