Since Louise's hairstyle appointment at Al's & Company Salon was over two hours, and we knew we wanted to spend some time at Pleasant Valley Farm getting "some" dessert(s), we decided to go out to lunch in the middle.

Her hairstylist, Isabella, told us to go to Java Jack’s in Baldwin. That's cool since it's on the way to where we're going. Never heard of it and I had no idea what to expect. Apparently, it's a new place that's only been around a few months, so that's up my alley too because I like to post about the new places.

The decision on what to eat was easy for us because when I was asking Isabella about the food she told me that the Havarti Chicken Sandwich was her favorite, and she said we also needed to have a cup of soup. Louise got the half sandwich and a cup of chicken wild rice soup, and I got a full sandwich with a ball of chicken wild rice soup. Holy man was this good. I mean really really good. The sandwich and the soup we're just amazing.

Thank you Jeena. It's good we came here for lunch to meet you, because I'm not sure either of us would have come to your yoga studio to meet you. 🤣

Thank you Laura (owner) and Nancy (mom). Your restaurant is wonderful and your food is wonderful. I'm so glad you were able to find something to honor your brother and give you some peace. I'm sorry I didn't know the story behind Java Jack’s before I came in. Otherwise, I obviously would have approach the conversation in a different way. I am so sorry for your loss.

If you're around Baldwin, or not, you really need to try this place. It is a very simple, small menu, and it is so so good. You can even get fancy coffee, drinks and smoothies and pastries. I am definitely coming back.

Well, now facebook is doing it to me. I posted this almost 4 hours ago. First it was instagram, then tiktok, and now facebook. Maybe it was a fluke. I'll see you tomorrow.

Headwaters Preserve is the name of this place. It was nice, but it would have been nicer with my hands free to hold my walking sticks. Holding a phone and umbrella and talking made it a little more difficult. You did warn me Susie, maybe I'll listen next time.

Sorry I got all sad and negative at the end. Stuff just pops into my head and I go with it and whatever comes out of my mouth comes out. And don't read into anything. If you guys know me at all and i've kept up on my posts, you know how I feel, and what I'm venting about. I like being with my granddaughter and my mother in law and the rest of the family. I like being around people when I get to socialize. I like doing the things that I like to do. That does not mean I have to like my life and want to be here in it. Two things can be true. There are no safety issues.

Well, I stumbled quite a bit but did not fall over. I made it out with wet shoes, wet socks and wet pant legs up past my knees. It is what it is?l. I can't stop walking, cause not going on a normal walk for 3 weeks kind of hurt and it really messed with my routine. I don't mind the yuckiness. Plus I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do about walking in the winter because I am not going indoors. My personality and anxiety would not do well walking in circles. The same darn circles over and over.

By the way, that wasn't a river I saw. t was a lake. I know this because I walked around it, and it took a very long time. There were no benches and there were no rest stops. So I walked for 90 minutes on this terrain and this weather with no break.

Overall, I can't explain what happened on this walk. I took what I thought were some wrong turns, and I was walking all around in places I didn't recognize, and thought I might be a little lost, and I wasn't gonna get back to the car in time to go get Louise, but somehow in the end without even trying I ended up where I started.

I just dropped Louise off at Al's and Companyhair salon in Roberts. Al's & Company Salon is one of the few places that still does perms, and Louise loves a perm. Plus it's like less than ten minutes from her house so that makes it really easy for her.

I'm not getting my hair done, because I put myself in the bathtub with the clippers for that, but why not give a shout out to the business that is nice to my mother-in-law.

If I was being nosy enough, I believe Isabel, or Isabella, is doing her hair this morning.

Now I'm gonna go walk in the what rainy mud for 2 hours and wait for Louise's phone call.

I came home tonight to surprise homemade chocolate chip cookies.

I let our next door neighbor, Mary, pick some of Carol's raspberries. She surprised me with a plate of homemade cookies. And this after our neighbor, Barb, picked raspberries then made me raspberry cake and raspberry jam.

I wonder how I could expand on this trading for raspberry thing. 😮🤣 Most likely next year, since raspberry season is almost over.

Well, most of today was spent with Mariah Faith at Rivertown Tattoo. Almost 6 hours. My third longest tattoo session. She and I have been talking about working on the rest of my arm, after all the lyrics were done, for well over a year now.

Carol loved music. She did so many things with music over the years. Piano, clarinet handbells/chimes, etc. Heck, one year I bought her a bass guitar for Christmas. She played the piano for years. She especially loved playing the for the middle school choir. Music might have been her favorite hobby, outside of gardening.

I wanted to make sure I got it this month, since it is our anniversary month. Our 33rd wedding anniversary. I was busy with Cocopop for the week leading up to our anniversary and the week after, so now is the time.

Mariah and I decided last year, that eventually, she was going to get to tattoo all of the music notes/symbols that I could find to fill in all the spaces left after the lyric tattoos. We've both been on the same page with this the entire time. I new what I wanted, and she knew what she wanted to do it. The conversation and setup was quick and easy. She free reign to do whatever she wanted. Where, what size, what angle. As long as it was all over the place and abstract.

I am so so happy with these. It's kind of a cool backstory with Mariah, because she worked for Urban, I got her connected with Rivertown Tattoo and she got her Haus of Brows chair in their shop, then I helped her move her things from her old shop to this shop, and now she's done 3 tattoo sessions with me with at least 3 more to come.

As usual, Carol’s ashes are in all of these. Her ashes will continue to be in all of my tattoos, except for any of the lyric ones. She did not like the bands that I liked. 🤣

I love you, honey, and I miss you. And i'm sorry, i'm doing all this weird stuff to keep you near me. I'm not actually sorry. I'm just sorry that we're in the position for me to be doing this. 😢💔

Thank you so much for the 45 tattoos, Mariah. This was over a year in the making, and i'm glad we finally got started. See you for the next little mini touch up stage on Monday, in what is going to be four total stages to finish my whole arm. Mariah Faith ☠︎︎ .

I posted this eight hours ago, and facebook just told me the upload failed. I don't think I have a problem with Facebook. I think I had a problem with being out and about and then inside a building without good internet.

Sorry I didn't cover much that made sense today. I was distracted by the birds. And then distracted, because I couldn't find my bag of Carol's ashes for my tattoo, and then I had to go in and search for them, and then just it was time to head down here.

I'm quite a bit early, so i'm just hanging out until it's time. I don't think I said anything about Carol or grief are sad. I'm sorry I just said everything that popped into my head. That didn't even sound right. Because she's always in my head and in my chest, and in my stomach. A those feelings are really overwhelming today, but I don't want to send them to send me back to bed. I need to do this tattoo because I didn't do it around our anniversary and I want to make sure I get it for our anniversary.

I went to Louise's house this afternoon to hangout with her. I usually do some outside stuff first. I got done watering her garden (and then it rained later!), filling her birdbaths, and clearing broken tree branches from her driveway.

We were talking a little bit later and after she asked, "do you wanna get some pizza tonight?" I said we may as well because we haven't had pizza yet in all of our eating of things over the last week or so. Pizza's kind of easy for us because I know she's not a fan of spice and I'm okay with that. We know for sure that we both like sweet, and we realized a couple months ago that we both like Hawaiian pizza. So we got a Hawaiian pizza from EJ's Pizzeria

Earlier for some reason, we were talking about spaghetti and meatballs. Although she did not want any spaghetti, she did let me talk her into splitting an EJ'S meatball sandwich. That was gonna be it. What she didn't know is that there was one last salted caramel frosted chocolate cupcake left in their cabinet, and I bought it. We split that too. Somehow we made it through half of the pizza and the other two things.

I made it into Urban Table this morning for Ben and Hannah's grand opening ribbon cutting. These are just random pictures I took.

Not much to say because i've been saying all the things and talking about my feelings about this building over the last few days. It was an okay morning for me I got through it. I talked to tons of people. Even though it was hard being there without Carol, knowing what happened to Carol in this building, it was okay.

It was obviously a good morning for them. Lots of people showed up to celebrate and watch the ribbon cutting and congratulate them. The place looks pretty and bright and great. They've obviously done a lot of hard work to get it to where it looks now compared to what it looked like before. Congratulations.

It was nice to hang out and talk to you for a little bit, Anna and Jayda. Nice to see some of our employees still working here. I'm proud of both of you.

Thank you for the vanilla lavender latte, Rachel. It was my first time having anything like this, and it was wonderful.

Thank you to everyone that was there that came up and said hi to me and checked in on me. That helped a lot this morning. Sometimes little distractions are okay. Extra thank you to you, Jasmine. You've been a big, friendly, emotional, logical, clear my head, help over the past year or so. I appreciate you. I think I still owe you lunch. That helped a lot this morning.
