I created the stripes after running short on the original yarn—and I'm so glad I did because they gave this sweater its personality!

There's something special about wearing something that was made by hand. ❤️

Every stitch of this sweater was crocheted by me, from the mauve bodice to the colorful coordinating stripes.

What started as a little yarn shortage turned into a creative design that I ended up absolutely loving!

Soft acrylic yarn + lots of stitches + a little creativity = one very unique sweater. 🧶✨

Sometimes the best designs happen when things don't go exactly as planned. 🧶✨

I started this sweater with a beautiful mauve yarn and crocheted the entire bodice and most of the sleeves.

Then I ran out of yarn. 😅

Rather than scrap the sweater, I decided to use a little creativity. I took some of the crocheting back out and incorporated coordinating stripes using the yarn I had available.

And that's how this one-of-a-kind sweater came to be!

I love that handmade pieces can evolve as you create them. ❤️ There's something special about knowing there isn't another one exactly like it.
