June feels like standing on the threshold between possibilities and adventures.

The days are growing longer, the garden is stretching toward the sun, and my creative notebooks are filling with plans faster than I can finish them.

There's something magical about this time of year. Summer hasn't fully settled in yet, but you can feel it waiting just around the corner.

Today I'm embracing unfinished projects, scattered ideas, and the simple joy of creating without pressure.

My newest cart is currently The Birthday Party Cart! I have gifts for me and those I haven't seen since November/December (and yes there is some Xmas gifts still sitting around) sitting on the cart as well as my party decoration making supplies! This weekend I'm doing some deep cleaning for the party and going to get as many boxes in the garage sorted and cleaned for the yard sale next weekend.

Today feels like a slow, experimental kind of creative day 🧶🌿

I’ve been playing with **natural dyeing using onion skins** — and the colors are giving warm, sunlit, vintage tones.

Nothing fancy. Just:

🧅 Onion skins
💧 Water
🧵 Scrap fabric or yarn
⏳ A little time + curiosity

Let it simmer and see what happens.

That’s my favorite part — it doesn’t have to be perfect. Every batch turns out a little different… a little lived-in.

A cozy, thrifty little project for today 🌸📖

I’m making **pressed flower bookmarks** — simple, pretty, and perfect for spring reading days.

Here’s how I do mine:

🌿 Step 1: Gather flowers (fresh or already pressed)
🌿 Step 2: Arrange them on cardstock or watercolor paper
🌿 Step 3: Seal with clear contact paper or laminate
🌿 Step 4: Punch a hole + add ribbon or twine

That’s it. No pressure for perfection.

You can:
• keep them in your current read
• gift them with a favorite book
• or start a small stack for future shop bundles 👀

It feels like holding onto a tiny piece of spring.

Starting April softly… with a little bit of floral folklore 🌼✨

Did you know some of the most common spring flowers carry quiet, magical meanings?

🌸 Daisies — innocence, new beginnings, and threshold spaces
🌿 Violets — dream magic, protection, and gentle intuition
💙 Bluebonnets — resilience, protection, and deep-rooted strength (a Texas favorite)

I love tucking these into journals, pressing them between book pages, or leaving one on my altar as a tiny seasonal offering.

Nothing complicated. Just a small moment of connection.

A little reminder that magic doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

6oz.thin sliced okra 1/2 c minced white onion 1/2 c diced green bell peppers 1/2 c minced drained tomatoes 1/2 c self-rising flour 1/2 c yellow cornmeal
3 eggs beaten 1/4 tsp salt,1/4 tsp pepper,or to taste,vegetable oil fer frying.in a bowl,combine okra,onion,bell pepper,and
tomato.add flour,cornmeal,tossing to coat evenly.stir in eggs,salt,pepper ,stir well until mixture thickens!working in batches drop by tbs. in hot oil.turning once,until golden brown..i keep em in
the oven to stay warm until there all done and serve at once.i think i will add some diced jalepenos next time!yum and enjoy!
