I’ve been experimenting with my sourdough recipe lately… 👀🍞

And I think I FINALLY found my favorite combination! 🙌

Look at that crumb. Look at that crust. 😍 The texture, the flavor, the chew… I’m pretty sure this is the one.

Sometimes the best recipes come from a little kitchen experimenting—and a whole lot of eating the evidence. 😂

I’m absolutely loving how this loaf turned out, and I can’t wait to share this version with you guys!

🧺 A GATHERED PANTRY IS GETTING READY TO FIRE BACK UP! ❤️

I'm still enjoying my last couple of days in Vegas, but apparently I can't completely turn off the part of my brain that's thinking about food. 😂 I'll be heading home Sunday, and next week A Gathered Pantry is back in the kitchen!

While I've been away, I've had some time to think about what I want this little business to look like going forward. I've been working on my menu, crunching numbers, planning some new goodies, and figuring out how I can continue offering you fresh, homemade food while keeping things manageable with my small-batch baking style. ❤️

So you'll notice a few changes!

🍞 And what about the sourdough bread?

I'm still making it! ❤️

My sourdough sandwich loaves will simply be moving to preorder only — $8 per loaf.

Bread takes a little more planning and fermentation time, so making it by order means I can bake it fresh for the people who want it without having extra loaves sitting around hoping to find a home.

You'll still see me post other goodies and occasional specials depending on what I feel like baking that week—because we all know I'm incapable of sticking to a menu 100% of the time. 😂

I'm also working on some new shelf-stable pantry goodies, gift boxes, and eventually an online shop, so there's plenty more coming!

Most of all, I want A Gathered Pantry to stay what I intended it to be: small batches, simple ingredients, homemade food, and things I'd happily put on my own family's table. ❤️

For now, I'm going to enjoy the rest of Vegas. Sunday I'm headed home, and then it's back to my mixing bowls!
