I just completed 7 checkerboards and checkers for each board. The boards are 14 1/2” X 14 1/2”. Checkers are from Red Stag, Sika and Axis horns some are engraved and some are filled with colored epoxy. Can also engrave a basic picture on them. Since this is my first attempt at doing these I want to offer them at $200 for a complete set of board and 28 checkers. They would look great in your lodge, man cave, she cave or in your house.

I had a thought Saturday about making checkers out of sika, red deer and axis horns. It was a mixture of trial and error with most of it being error. Here are a few of the sets I made. Hopefully I can keep improving on them. Im planning on removing the bone core out of the dark ones and filling with colored epoxy. I’m going to work on making a checker board this week.

A few things I’ve been working on. Made some samples for local businesses, wood engraved pictures for a few folks, coasters and a couple of hand engraved cutting boards filled with epoxy and colored.

Over the weekend I wanted to try something different on the cutting boards and start making some trivet’s . I never was happy with the way they were turning out so. I routed the logos out and filled with epoxy. I like how I can make them with the different colors.

This wonderful rain has made it hard to be productive on the ranch so I took the time to work on a few projects. Finished up some stuff for a charity event. Finished a bar set for a friend. Started working on mirror decorations for a local hunting lodge and even found time to do a few things for the house.

Some of the projects I’ve been working on this week. Made myself a bar set. Starting one for some one else. Made some samples for someone and spent more time doing mirrors. Then named and ran some of my suppressors.

This weekend I tried mirrors, canvas filled an order for shot glasses and made some coozies for an upcoming fishing trip.

Worked on and finished up a notebook and a few other projects. Even found time to play with a coozie and a painted ceramic tile.

When I started this journey 2 months ago it was to engrave pictures of their harvests on wood as nice parting gift. Today I ran tests on ceramic painted different colors to see what combinations turned out best since we start our spring/ summer hunts this week. Which ones do y’all like best?
