Our eclectic gift shop is the perfect place to find a unique gift for a friend or new houseplant or piece of home decor for yourself! Enjoy our many display gardens, where you will be inspired by the multitude of colorful blooms, contrasting textures, and fascinating foliage. Prepare to be delighted by the many creatures that call Dearness Gardens home, be it the butterflies and bumblebees, adorable chipmunks scuttling to and fro or tiny green lizards hunting their tiny insect quarry. Be on the lookout for Myrtle, our resident feline, who will be more than happy to escort you about the grounds as you shop. She will demand nothing more than a behind-the-ear-head scratch or perhaps a belly-rub. We currently offer several landscape design services.  A landscape consultation at your home costs $125.00 (non-refundable) if you live locally (Huntersville, Cornelius, Davidson, Mooresville, and Highland Creek).  We charge an additional travel fee if you are outside of our local service area which can be determined by providing your zip code.  During a consultation, one of our talented landscape designers will walk your property with you, give you design ideas, and make plant suggestions based on the environmental conditions (sun, shade, wet, dry, small space, steep incline, poor drainage, container gardens, raised beds, etc.).  The consultation lasts about an hour and is the very best way for you to “get it right the first time.” Feel free to take notes and/or make sketches as the consultation proceeds.  Any of the plants suggested can be delivered and/or installed by Dearness Gardens, and a quote for those services can be provided at no cost or obligation. 
In addition to an on-site consultation, our designers can also provide a hand-drawn landscape design rendering for $125/hour (non-refundable).  This is often useful for, but not limited to, larger yards and projects that will be installed in several phases.  The design itself will consist of a scale drawing of your home, property, existing plants, the new plants to be installed, and any hardscaping additions such as stone walkways, gravel paths, retaining walls and boulders.  The designer can give you an estimate of how much time your design plan will take so you know the approximate cost in advance. To set up a consultation appointment, call us anytime at 704-875-8234 or reply to this email with your phone number and address so we can assign a designer to you, and they can contact you to set up a date.  Thanks for considering Dearness Gardens for your landscape and gardening needs and thanks for supporting a local business! 🪏🌻🌳🧑🏾‍🌾👨🏻‍🌾
