Today I'm playing electrical engineer.
I had to create a wiring scheme for a client using something called a Freeway switch.
It looks like a typical 3 position guitar switch you'd find on a Les Paul but instead of just 3 positions you have 6.
I spent quite a bit of time to design a wiring scheme that can do the usual pickup combinations neck/both/bridge on one side,
while the other side presented the challenge of:
1. Both pickups together, out of phase
2. Both pickups together, half out of phase
3. Both pickups together, "power" out of phase

The 3rd combo was not possible due to the limits of the switch, but I was able to muster one last option which will be to split the bridge pickup from humbucking dual coil to a single coil.

Phew!

Beginnings stages of a rather intensive repair.
The butt end of this somewhat rare Martin D21 was crunched during shipping and among other damage had its tail block broken in half.
This will have to be replaced in addition to repairing the back and sides adjacent. Removing the back and broken block were steps 1 and 2.
