Meet Skylar, one of our cashiers at our Barboursville location! Skylar loves art, singing karaoke, trying new foods, and enjoying life with their 5 children. They also have 3 cats – Aries, Edgar, and Athena – and one dog named Ace.

Skylar’s favorite part of the job is working with the Stogies team. “They’re easy going and emphasize that we all have a life outside of work where anything can happen," she added.

Fun fact about Skylar? They are aspiring to become a tattoo artist one day.

One small request brought an incredible response. ❤️

After the Huntington Cabell Wayne Animal Control Shelter in West Virginia ran out of dog treats, staff turned to the community with a simple Facebook post asking for help. Within hours, supporters began dropping off treats and sending even more through online retailers, quickly filling the shelter's lobby with donations.

The shelter is currently caring for around 180 dogs, and while food and medical care take priority in its budget, treats provide enrichment and brighten the dogs' days. Staff say they're grateful for the community's continued support — and while the treat shortage has been resolved, they're still looking for foster families and adopters to help more dogs find loving homes.
