It’s Spooky Season!

Join us at Cicada Books after the Central City Shop Crawl on October 17 to celebrate the release of Brood XIV’s newest horror anthology Undead Appalachia.

We’ll have an open mic for Spooky Storytelling, local authors reading & signing and lots of books available for purchase.

If you’ve got a ghost story to tell, want to hear one, or like to support local creators, join us at 6 pm. Snacks provided!

Have you signed the GET THE FLOCK OUT petition yet? Each staff member has a petition for you to sign during business hours. Just ask at the register!

This bipartisan petition is led by Huntington Citizen Action Group and calls for a ballot initiative to make it illegal for the city to contract with mass surveillance technology companies (like Flock) after the mayor and six city council members recently voted to support a $2.1 million contract with Flock to install 63 cameras, two audio listening devices, and a drone in the City of Huntington.

You must be registered to vote in Huntington to be eligible to sign. If you’re not registered to vote, a petition holder can direct you on how to register online.

Cicada Books is open 12-5pm Sunday, 10am-6pm Tuesday - Friday, and 9am-5pm Saturday
