Thank you SO much to these amazing community sponsors for helping our spaghetti supper come together. That raffle basket is looking amazing, and we are still expecting to add a few more items to it before next Sunday! All funds from the raffle also go to CVFD.

Join us Sunday, September 20, from 5-7 pm at DJ's Pizza on Ryland Pike for our third-annual Spaghetti Supper benefitting CVFD!

There will be free face painting and bounce houses (Thanks A Plus Inflatables!), along with fire truck tours and fire hats for the kids. Your purchase of a spaghetti plate supports our volunteer fire department in purchasing necessary medical supplies that they use to serve our community.

Plates are $15 each, and you can reserve a plate by messaging us or by sending your Venmo payment to CVFD524. THE TICKET DEADLINE IS SEPTEMBER 14, so reserve your plate now and plan to join us for a fun community event!

It’s time to gather on the farm—both flowers and people! We have some lovely events planned this harvest season. You can find tickets for all our upcoming events on our website under the “Events” tab!

Join us for a special evening event on the farm. We will harvest flowers, and walk through arranging them in a seasonal pumpkin pot for you to take home, all while enjoying delicious seasonal small bites. This is going to be a special night on the farm and we only have a few seats left!

The flower shop will be dressed up in all the fall favorites—mums, pumpkins, hay bales—to serve as a backdrop for your family photos. These dates are available to families or photographers to book mini sessions. The rental fee is $50/hour and you can book your slot on our website under the Rentals tab

Gather with us at our flower shop to craft your own everlasting dried wreath for your fall decorating. These wreaths are lovely hanging on an interior door or wall, but also make fun centerpieces. You can pick the size you would like to make, along with the date that fits your schedule.

A spooky soiree—we are reading a historical fiction novel about the Salem Witch Trials this October! After our book discussion everyone will pick a jar of flowers to take home. Flowers and snacks will both be Halloween themed. Witch hats are highly encouraged! Feel free to sign up and join us for the vibes, even if you don’t have time to read the book!

LeAnn spent 14 years as a teacher in our local school system, and it turns out that you can take the teacher out of the classroom, but you can’t stop her from teaching.

Join us for our Harvest Nights Design and Dine class and let us teach you the basics of floral design, a skill you can carry with you for years to come—just like the pumpkin pot you’ll take home from the class with you.

We only have FOUR seats available still in this class. We’ll harvest together, eat together, and design together. It’s going to be a lovely evening on the farm!

I was looking through pictures from the spaghetti supper last year and the thing that popped into my head was that it takes a lot of people to make something like this work. From the ones who help plan, to the ones who help execute, and to each of you who show up and support our volunteer fire department, this little supper is achieving exactly the goal I had in mind when we started.

I had a goal, but no real plan when I decided to do this the first year. But the planning committee helped shape it into something. I thought I would do it by myself, I guess, but volunteers came alongside to form that committee. I didn’t have a plan for food, but Tiffany and her family at DJ’s stepped in to help.

And that’s what community is really about. We aren’t meant to do things alone. We’re meant to help each other, lift each other up, and support each other. Our spaghetti supper really serves more than one purpose. The money raised helps those who serve us, but it helps us help each other, too.

Mr. Rogers once said that his mom told him when he saw scary things, he should look for the helpers. Well, I gotta say, when I look for the helpers, they’re all around ❤️

Sign ups for our fall bouquet & jar subscriptions are closing next week! We will be starting pickups for fall flowers on September 8!

Subscriptions mean that you get 4 weeks of fresh, seasonal flowers picked just for you. You set your pick up time for each week, and every Tuesday you get to treat yourself (or someone else!) to a trip to the flower stand to pick up your bouquet or jar. Then you’ll enjoy those flowers until it’s time for the next ones.
