🍁 Great Clothes Deserve More Than a Hanger! 👗

You know the ones—the beautiful sweater you had to have, the designer jeans you barely wore, the handbag that never leaves its dust bag.

They're too good to get rid of…but you're not wearing them.

That's what consignment is for. ❤️

We're accepting quality fall apparel for women, men & kids, plus shoes, purses & accessories.

Give those great pieces another chance to be someone's favorite.

🎨 One Craft Is Through? Make Room for Something New! ✨

There’s something about creative people…
We’re always discovering another thing we want to learn. 😂

One day, you decide you’re going to bind your own books.

Then you discover needle felting.

Suddenly you’re pressing every pretty flower you see. 🌸

Next thing you know, you’re fascinated by tiny dollhouse miniatures.

Then mosaics catch your eye.

And somewhere along the way, you decide weaving looks really interesting.

That’s part of the fun of being creative.

You don’t have to choose one craft and stick with it forever. You get to experiment, learn new skills, make some things, decide what you love—and move on when something different sparks your curiosity.

But what about all the tools and supplies from those earlier creative pursuits?

They still have value!!! 💰

Bring them to Make It Place on consignment and put them back into circulation, where another creative person can discover them.

Meanwhile, you’re free to wonder…
“Ooooo…what should I learn NEXT?” 👀😂

Because there’s always another craft calling your name.

🧶 Craft Stash Overflow? Let It Go… and Make a Little Dough! 💰

Crafters are very good at making things.
We may be even better at keeping things. 😂

Because you might need it someday.
Because you paid good money for it.
Because there’s absolutely nothing wrong with it.
Because you really did enjoy that hobby…once upon a time.

So the polymer clay, molds and sculpting tools stay in the cabinet.

The resin-making supplies stay packed in a bin.

The candle-making equipment waits patiently for your comeback.

The leather-working tools are still perfectly good.

And the wood-burning tools? Well…you’re definitely going to use those again someday. 😉😂

Here’s your permission slip:

You don’t have to throw it away. You don’t have to waste it. And you don’t have to keep it forever.

Consign it at Make It Place.

Someone else gets the opportunity to create with something that still has plenty of creative life left in it—and you get paid when it sells.

Because sometimes letting go of one creative chapter just makes room for the next one. ❤️

So go ahead. Open that craft closet.

You already know what’s in there. 👀😂

What if your old hobby could pay for your new one? 🧶🎨✂️

Take another look at those craft supplies tucked away in your closets, drawers and bins.

The artist paint brushes 🖌️ you haven't picked up in years.
The oil pastels and watercolor pencils from your art 🎨 phase.
The embroidery hoops and needles 🪡 from projects long finished.
Those beautiful spools of lace 🧵 you were saving for something.
The sewing machine that's been sitting in the closet since...well, let's not talk about how long. 😂

That's not just clutter. That's money 💰 sitting in your house!!!

Consign it at Make It Place, and when it sells, you can put that money toward something that gets your creative juices flowing again.

Maybe you're ready to try crochet.
Or jewelry making.
Or paper making.
Or something you haven't even discovered yet.

While you get the chance to discover a new creative obsession, someone else gets an affordable opportunity to discover the craft you once enjoyed. Your old supplies become their new adventure. Their purchase helps fund yours.

More creating. Less collecting dust. Everybody wins. ❤️

So…what hobby could your old hobby pay for?

How do you feel about high-purity, toxin-free plant-based cleaning + wellness products?? 🌿♻️

Make It Place has been approved to become a retail and refill partner for Rustic Strength, a family-owned company right here in the Ozarks in southern Missouri. You know I'm always looking for high-quality local makers to support and bring to you here at the shop. Our Make It Fresh line of skincare has been very popular and I thought this might be something of interest to the local community here as well.

But before I take the plunge, I want to know if YOU would use it.

Rustic Strength makes plant- and earth-derived household and personal-care products with full ingredient transparency—from laundry detergent, fabric care, dish soap and hand soap to household cleaners, bath & body products, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and more.

But the part that really interests me is the refill system.

Instead of buying another container every time you run out, you could bring your container back to Make It Place and refill it. Less packaging, less waste, and a really convenient way to keep the products you use every day on hand.

I love the idea of bringing something like this to our community, and I've already done the work to get approved to offer it. But setting up a refill program would mean a significant commitment of space, inventory, equipment and time on my end—so before I jump in, I want to hear from you.

Would you use a Rustic Strength refill station at Make It Place?

And if you would, what would you be most likely to refill? Laundry detergent? Dish soap? Hand soap? Household cleaners? Shampoo or body products?

Tell me in the comments. 👇 This is one of those times when your answers really could determine what comes to Make It Place next.

Thank you for weighing in!! Cynthia~
