From a gift in Alabama to empowering artisan families in Colombia. 🤍

It all started with a simple gesture: a handcrafted Wayuu mochilón gifted to my sister in Huntsville, Alabama. Wherever she went—from daily errands to the gym—people kept stopping her, admiring the craftsmanship and asking where it came from. That genuine interest showed us that this generational art deserved to be shared with the world.

When we traveled back to the Colombian coast—between Santa Marta and Palomino—we realized our true purpose was bigger than bringing bags across borders: it was about honoring and supporting the families behind them.

At AMPMsis, we put our artisans first:

✨ Honoring Traditions & Roles: We respect the rhythm of the ranchería—where Wayuu women weave and lead their homes, while men craft the straps (gazas) on wooden looms and source materials.
