For those who want to be original when fishing the Pacific try the Nomad Squidtrex. When bait is scarce think different. Caught this bluefin last year and had and had two yellowtail break off this year. I’ve boated a bunch of Calicos as well with the rod just sitting in the rodholder with the boat doing the work.
