My mother taught me that bragging was a very ugly thing. I taught my children that not only bragging is ugly, it sometimes does the exact opposite of what is intended. I don’t care about any of that any more. I want to shout from the roof top how amazing my sweet Marc was. He reached great success in business and more importantly the game of life. He was so loved by me, his children and his sidekick Charlotte. He always joked that he could never get a big head because I was always there to bring him down to earth. One day at one of the markets, he was wearing a staff shirt. A lady came up to him and said “ you work here? The ladies room toilet is clogged ”. He turned to me and said “ I use to be somebody” We both laughed. I never really had to keep him for getting a big head. That’s not what drove him. I guess what drove him was the equivalent of my thrill of the hunt. The reason for my post is to thank you for relaying all the wonderful stories to me about Marc. It makes me so happy to know so many people got to see Marc’s sweet side. I also want to thank you for support in reading stories about Marc. I love talking about him. I know he would say why didn’t you always talk this nice about me!!?? I wish I did. Honestly, I was pretty hard on him and my kids. But I love them fiercely. Just like I wish that sweet dog at our market today finds a loving family, all animals deserve love. I wish everyone had a person like Marc in their lives. This world would be a much better place.

3 days and counting, August 14-16. We are diligently working at White Barn Vintage to make our Dog Days of Summer market fabulous. We are also working on hosting sweet souls from Pittsylvania Pet Center.
In order to enjoy The Dog Days of Summer to the fullest, our very own Rachel HILL CITY POPCYCLE will join us to keep us cool. Pets, Pops and…….gosh, I wish I could think of a “P” word for Vintage………🤨

Dog Days of Summer Market is going to have it all! We will have sweet babies from Pittsylvania Pet Center that need good homes. We will have awesome vintage AND HILL CITY POPCYCLE will keep us cool with summer treats. You will leave with a cool belly, fun vintage and maybe even your new best friend!

The chandelierium continues. We have some new faces at White Barn Vintage. Kim and Susan from Gems made their debut at our July market. We are very happy to welcome them to our White Barn Vintage family. Kristen from May’s Creek Vintage will join us for our August market. I am excited to see what she will do with her space.

Charlotte and Violet have great news!! Our friends from the Pittsylvania Pet Center are going to bring some of their friends that need a home to our “Dog Days of Summer” Market August 14-16.
Our past collaborations with the center have yielded families for some of their sweet dogs. Violet and Charlotte would be so happy for their friends if they can find families who love them. Of course, we will have fresh vintage to offer at our August market too. What could be better than Dogs and vintage???
