Hey, friends! For those of you subscribed to book boxes, I spent the last two weeks intermittently under the weather with THE FOR REAL FLU, so I've been slow sending out your subscription boxes. Friends, a number of you have come to me asking about the different book clubs the shop hosted. Since we're keeping this page alive, I am absolutely delighted to help keep word going about the book clubs if folks in the area want to keep them going. It appears that our Books & Brew book club is going to keep plugging away at Sandhills Brewing in Hutchinson (thank you Sandhills and my wonderful local people!). The physical store may be closed in Kansas, but BINGO LIVES! Same rules as last year, but I'll give you a $10 GC to Bookshop OR a credit for Libro.fm if you get a blackout this year! (D.j. James I should probably make you read a separate book for EVERY spot on the board with the way you burn through these.... 😉). Kansans: if you want to read a book about KANSAS instead of one about the north (this literally means any northland culture--I have some ideas on one of these pages!), please do! Hit up the shop page when you finish. Bonus brownie points if you copy and paste little book covers for each book you read onto the board so I get to see what you read/do for each one! Y'all, I'm literally bouncing up and down in my chair with glee right now after writing up this book rec list. I was asked to recommend books from the past year and upcoming in 2025 that featured BIPOC, Feminist, and LGBTQ+ representation under the WIDE umbrella of the speculative fiction genre (horror, fantasy, science fiction). This is MY AREA, folks! So of course I immediately threw out EVERYTHING ELSE I was doing and put this list together on our Bookshop page. I'll attach a link on both platforms in the comments. I'm still deciding what to do with the Crow & Co. socials. Since we're retaining our online purchasing options (through Libro and Bookshop), I can certainly keep posting on this account--offering videos and commentary of books I love and am addicted to, and maybe even hosting virtual book clubs and other remote options for fans of this page. Though I would really rather reduce my workload if I could and just move EVERYONE over to the new socials. So this is my plea: make my job easier and keep up with my recs and reviews, join in on Book Bingo (which is starting VERY soon!) and maybe get in on a couple social events as well by hopping yourself over to the Crow & Co. To Go social media platforms. I would love to keep all my friends up to date as we move forward on this journey!

Not only are we selling books in these last few days of the store, but MANY of our displays, bookshelves, and a great deal of our furniture is also for sale. I wanted to take a moment out of your Friday night to give my deepest thanks for all the support so many of you have given us since we announced the shop closing. There's a lot happening in our personal lives right now on top of this, and the outpouring of love we've received from this community has been such a blessing to us. We love you, Hutchinson, and are so grateful for the community that we've had the privilege to be a part of over the years. Thank you so much for being a part of our journey.
