Wow! Has this year flown by or what! I finished the season at the farm and am slowly getting back into a routine. It will be disrupted again any time now by the arrival of my first grandchild πŸ₯° But in the meantime, it is cold a flu season, grab a purse size tissue cover so your sneezes will be covered and your tissues will be cute. Makes a fun stocking stuffer or hostess gift too.
These are currently available for purchase. Message me for details.

It took me forever and a day to crochet this bag using Tunisian crochet, but I finally got it lined and ready to bring into DuBois Farms tomorrow. My daughter-in-law gave me the yarn a few years back when I was going through an illness that confined me to the couch for a while. I had always wanted to learn how to knit so she brought me yarn and needles and told me I had no excuse 😊 I did learn to knit then and later picked up Tunisian crochet. So many fun things to keep me out of trouble.

This is my display at DuBois Farms. Stop by the Fabulous Fruit Festival this weekend and check it out.

Finished up these two quilted totes for tomorrow. They will be available at DuBois Farms. They are two sided from a fabric panel I saved from the thrift shop. One is lined with a uniform shirt and the other a window valance. The handles are made from a pair of fleece lined jeans and I used an old quilted couch cover for batting to give them extra stability. The inside pockets are a very generous size. Happy almost fall πŸ‚πŸπŸ˜Š

I'll be bringing both of these crossbody bags to DuBois Farms this Friday. Hoping I can get some more sewing time in. My bags are flying out of there so fast this year that I can't keep up! What a wonderful problem to have πŸ₯°

I love the simplicity of this crossbody made from a drapery panel and lined with a scrap of muslin. I used more of the quilted couch cover as batting for stability and the cute button is covered in knit and came from a sweater.

I just made my new favorite bag πŸ₯° I can't stop looking at it! Made from parts of a pair of jeans and several scraps from the pile of homespun I scored at the thrift store last month. I quilted the lining with a repurposed couch cover to give it more stability. The tab for the button is the waistband and button hole from the jeans.

Our Story

I love making something new out of something old; transforming something ready for the trash into someone’s treasure. I find great satisfaction in repurposing.

Another aspect of what I do is preserving memories with fabric. I take clothing once worn by a loved one and make it into a practical item used everyday such as an apron, tote bag, or pillow keeping those memories close at hand. Working with a customer to create that special something is a rewarding experience.
