As with any project you will ended up with pieces you can't use for some reason or another.

They end up in the bin. I'll use these still during the process to help with set ups. You know like getting the router bit at the right height or correct position on the drill press.

But once I'm done with the production they are going in the charcoal bin

Now comes hours upon hours of sanding and tingly hands

I think I should try making it with the smaller burr. Could get a deeper dish.

These are essentially scraps that I've been trying to find a product use for. Little round pucks from the large whisks.
Some have holes in the middle. The newer ones don't.

Tiny Dish for.... Rings? A pea? 2 blueberries?

Seeing what I can use these round plugs for. The are the center cutout from the large whisk.

Alot of people say glue them up and make a rolling pin. And I might. But I had a though of tiny dish while I was carving out spoons.

Using the kutzall burrs on a milwaukee die grinder.

In a perfect shop I'd have a table dedicated to this set up.

But I the small shop you do what you can. I pull out a old restaurant table top clamp it down to my bench in a way that it over hangs. Allowing me to sit at and clamp pieces to it.

I use the Kutzall | Power Carving Tools burrs for my spoon Carving. On a milwaukee M12 right angle die grinder

Getting so close to done. And by done I mean halfway. Alot of people don't know that sanding a project can take up half of the build time!

Soon.

But first, I'll get the last part of shaping done which is carving out the spoons. I'll be using a die grinder and the kutzall 1 in coarse burr.

Same as the whisks just different bit.

Rounding over the spoon corners.

After this they are ready for scoops to be carved out.

Large whisk are a hair 9/16 with a 1/4 round over.

The Spatulas are a neat process.

From essentially one process I achieve 4 items

I can get a 12 in spatula, or I can get a 9in spatula, chopsticks, and a Keychain all out of the same cut off.

Upgraded the whisk drill press jigs. Added some microjig dovetail clamps and new base plate. Trimmed the holder. And removed the guide bit from the hole saw.

Now I get puck scraps... What to do.
