Chesbro Music Company - Idaho Falls, Idaho We love music. And musicians. And instruments. And sheet music. And all the music things. Our famous warehouse of sheet music is as accessible as ever.

We are authorized guitar dealers for more brands than we’ve ever had. We rent and repair. And soon, you’ll be able to come in and take a self-guided tour to learn about the history of music in Eastern Idaho (including the mystery surrounding a guitar that was destined for Elvis Presley!) We are your local music store. A destination worth seeing and shopping.

What a weekend for the Tigers!! At the Bridgerland Band Competition in Utah, The Pride of Idaho Falls Marching Band took 1st Place. This regional competition brings some of the best of the west together and the Tigers came out on top. At the same competition over the last few years the Tigers took 4th, 2nd, and 2nd. Kudos to Mr. Henderson, these great kids, and all of their amazing, supportive parents to have kept grinding and improving. Congratulations!

In today's translation of what your instrument would say-
Let's have a talk with the woodwinds.
"What? You've never heard of a swab?"
"TAKE THE REED OFF THE MOUTHPIECE"
"Two words: CORK GREASE"
"Seriously. Take the reed off."
"K. The reed has to be wet...not dripping."

In today's edition of "If Your Instrument Could Talk"...
Your string instrument has a few words for you.

"Hey. How would you like your hair left in a tight ponytail all day?"
"It's giving...unnecessary tension."
"HEY. Let's normalize relaxing, shall we?"
"Let's be in our clean instrument era."
"No one likes rosin buildup."
"Repectfully, I'm feeling crusty."

Translated into student speak- LOOSEN YOUR BOW before you put it away and CLEAN OFF YOUR ROSIN once in a while.
No buildup. Just vibes.
