Cinnamon Curls Dwarf Korean Birch

This is a fantastic ornamental tree choice! It has wonderful exfoliating bark that peels back like a cinnamon curl, exposing the white bark beneath. It has beautiful golden yellow fall foliage and is sure to stun in your yard!

▪️Shows good pest resistance
▪️Tolerant of alkaline soil
▪️Garden size of 10’ tall and wide but can eventually reach 15’ tall and 12’ wide

Just like the name says, this cherry not only blooms in the spring but the fall as well! This is a fast growing ornamental variety and will attract pollinators.

🌟Unique Trees Part 2🌟

Prairie Horizon Manchurian Alder 🌳

A great option to diversify the shade trees in your yard! It has a very attractive shape and offers multi season interest with purple catkins in the spring, unique leaves in the summer, and clusters of cone-like strobiles that persist into the winter.

▪️Zone 3
▪️Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions including standing water
▪️Drought tolerant once established
▪️Grows in both sun and shade
▪️Expected 20 year growth rate is 25’ tall and wide but it has the potential to grow 40’ tall and 30’ wide with time

This week we just wanted to highlight some ✨UNIQUE✨ trees to add to your landscape!

First up is Paperbark Maple 🌳:
The real showcase on this tree is the papery bark which peels to reveal cinnamon brown new bark. It has a rounded, open habit and a unique leaf shape. Leaves turn a brilliant scarlet in the fall.

▪️Mature size of 25’ tall and 15-20’ wide
▪️Can handle both full sun and partial shade
▪️Slower growing
▪️Zone 4-8

Get the showy bark of a Birch and the fantastic fall color of a Maple!

We love Baptisia! We have carried and loved the Decadence varieties in the past! While we don’t currently have this variety in stock, we do have Indigo Spires and American Goldfinch!

Let’s take a moment to appreciate summer blooms and highlight a real showstopper that’s just starting to pop here at the nursery: ✨Caryopteris✨

Also called Bluebeard, this is a shrub that really wows with its summer to fall blooms, when little else is still flowering. It looks amazing lining walks and entryways and also works as a stand alone plant. It’s compact size of 2 feet tall and wide makes it super versatile for use throughout the landscape.
