Beautiful Friday! Cool temperatures and partly cloudy. A bit of a nice cooling wind also, so a perfect day to be out working with the plants. Not a huge harvest day but i did get several items caught up. Nice big basket of Calendula as it picks up speed with these past couple of cooler days. Also spent some time weeding and picking the Tulsi! There were some nice Plantain in among the Tulsi so those went into the harvest basket also. Then i picked some additional Red Clover, Selfheal and the first cut of Parsley. And took in a few more stems of Clary Sage, Blue Vervain and Dill.

Rain! glorious Rain!!! Not a huge amount but it came down for several hours!!! I walked around in it for a bit and opened up all the windows and doors and then just stood on the deck enjoying the fresh cool air!

Looks like we wont be seeing it in our region.

HAPPENING TONIGHT: What many consider to be the best meteor shower of the year is set to peak overnight into Thursday morning. At peak, upwards of 50-100 Perseid meteors per hour will be possible under dark sky locations with clear skies. Remember, this is a meteor shower that is best in the predawn hours, not the evening hours. Later is better. Below, the latest high resolution cloud cover forecast for 2:00 am ET.

I've spent enough time in woods to know that not every experience belongs in a story.

Sometimes you're simply... let into a moment.

Something happens that you can't explain. Not because it didn't happen, but because words just turn it into something it wasn't. If you tell people, it sounds like you've embroidered the tale. If you stay quiet, it quietly becomes part of you. Over the years, I've come to feel there's an unspoken woodland pact.

Not every encounter needs explaining, not every experience needs sharing and not every moment needs documenting. Sometimes the woodland allows you to witness something that feels entirely out of place, something you know you'll never explain properly.

Perhaps that's wyrd.

Perhaps the only thing you're meant to do is take it away with you.
Some experiences aren't meant to become stories. They're simply meant to remain between you... and the woods.
