This will be the last post for Ship Wrecords. I wanted to set the record straight. My lease was not going to be renewed as I struggled to pay the high rent till the last month when I got caught up. I was in talks with the new leasee for several weeks to coexist in the space and working together to open a bar. Suddenly I was told she would not sign the lease until I was completely out. No notice no explanation. That left me 10 days to get out. I asked to get the new lease signed and an agreement between us for several days. Nothing happened and as the end of the month was coming fast and I was concerned about the agreement. Then no communication at all. Abigail helped me get my shop up and running and I appreciate that. It's just the way it was handled by not talking to me. I was ghosted by the new leasee with no explanation what so ever. I love the Doupe Building as I put a lot of time in it's rebuilding. I sold my collections luckily but I also worked for 4 years to build it. I'm moving on to a new chapter in my life. My memories of the whole experience will always be cherished and the love I received from everyone is overwhelming. I will remain involved with Ilwaco and it's future. This is my home now and I love it so much. Who knows what the future holds but this community is loving and strong and I am hopeful of the changes that are coming. Peace out and have faith, that's what will make us survive.
