Memories

Opening day. The city failed to show up for the ribbon cutting, so I had to re-do it about a month later....they blamed it on a intern.

Decorating my store for Christmas, it was so pretty, and playing the Christmas music, i wore Christmas sweaters for the 1st time.

Small business Saturday. I was open from 10-8. Not one person came in

Valentines day. Store was decorated in hearts, Tarot was being done, and it was the best sales day in my stores history.

Watching people sit in there car outside my store, playing on there phones, instead of checking out the new business in town, also all the people who walked by without coming in.

Watching some people dance and sing to the music, that I picked out, in the store.

Winterfest bust. (Too cold)

Crazy Incense lady, who called to complain that her 30 pack of incense sticks only had 29 sticks (Really! who counts there sticks) I gave her 1 stick of incense to make up the difference.

Vending at Lavender festival a total bust.

Blueberry fest. Probably had the most adult people in. Most just browsing

Summerfest with Rollin Roy and Caitlin Howe a great fun day

Merchant trick or treat was a blast, I had so much fun.

The lady who drove into my store. No damage

The young girl who came in with her Grandma. She loved my store and was in weekly (where did you go?)

The dude who made a special order than threatened me to give him a discount or he'd buy it on Amazon. (I told him to go to Amazon) hope he got it.

The guy who bought Odin riding Sleipnir and his wife. Sorry you missed the closing.

Despite having no security cameras, no one stole anything.

A little over a year ago. While driving between patient visits, I had a vision, of this store. I believe the vision came from God. I followed his instructions and included as many Faiths as possible in my store. The store was never meant to make alot of money. It was meant to foster Tolerance, acceptance and and understanding of diverse spiritual paths. It was not a religious store. I told my God I would do it for 1 year. That year is now up. I Loved my store. I put every ounce of my heart and soul into it. I never made a penny. It was my gift to Downtown Imlay City.

In a last ditch effort to save the store I added in Imlay City Scrubs, but it wasn't enough.

I came to the decision to close for several reasons

1. Both of my parents health is failing. I will probably lose them soon, and need more time to help them.

2. I had to go back to my Nursing career, which limits my business hours, I Tried to do both, but am unable to keep reliable hours now.

3. The economy (sales have dropped significantly since gas prices rose)

No one forced me out. I know there are people in this community that are happy to see me close. I feel sorry for them, there religion has both imprisoned them and closed there minds. I cannot change that.

Thank you to everyone who has visited my store, even if you didn't buy anything. It was a dream come true for me. Not many people can say they lived there dream... I can.

Thank you God for asking me to do this.

This is goodbye for now.
