We’re growing, and we need another great person on our team! 🩵

Tahoe Gifting Co is looking for a part-time team member, with hours increasing as we head into the holiday season.

We’re a small, busy team, so we’re looking for someone who is smart, dependable and a self-starter. Someone who learns quickly, takes initiative, has good judgment and is comfortable working independently.

Retail/customer service experience is preferred, but we’re open to someone newer who has the right personality, work ethic and willingness to jump in and learn.

Must be 18+ • Pay dependent on experience

The Incline Tennis Open kicks off today at the Incline Tennis & Pickleball Center. Come hang out and cheer on the competitors! The weather looks great and there will be food and drinks available for purchase Saturday and Sunday. Matches run today through Sunday, with finals and awards on Sunday. Awards were locally crafted by our friends at Tahoe Gifting and turned out great!

We missed posting about Earth Day on Earth Day. It doesn’t mean we’re not thinking about the earth with every move we make 🌎

Around here that looks like:

* Apparel printed with black algae ink
* Retail bags from a US-based sustainable maker
* Sourcing local first so products don’t take a cross-country road trip before landing in your gift
* Biodegradable packing peanuts + a thriving “oooo look at this box, she’s a keeper” reuse pile
* Skipping plastic wrap and using biodegradable ribbon
* No paper receipts
* Recycled paper for our printed marketing material
* Bamboo toilet paper holding down the back of house (unsung hero)

We also keep customization in-house, which means less shipping things all over the place just to come back again. Lower footprint, better control, cleaner results 🙌🏽

Our gift boxes and crates (yes, wood > baskets) are made domestically and built to stick around—reused, repurposed, and engraved into something worth keeping. Same goes for what’s inside, like our Klean Kanteen vessels made from 90% recycled steel 🎁

Always thinking about it. Always building it into what we do 🩵

It’s that time of year again! We are in the midst of 2026 ❄️🏔️

Come design and build years past Snowfest awards with me.

Every award starts in Adobe Illustrator, my favorite place to design. Because the awards are layered, I separate the artwork into two parts: a shimmery Tahoe blue-green background and an unpainted cutout layer on top with the award engraving.

Before anything goes into the (Ruth), I paint the entire background board so the color is smooth and even. Then it’s cutting and engraving time. Safety first for those eyeballs of course!

Sometimes the boards are too big to fit in the laser as-is, so I cut them down first, which means taking off the front panel of the machine to make room. Once everything fits, I dial in the settings, align the artwork, and let Ruth get to work.

When the cutting is finished, I shut everything down for the night. Machine off, air compressor released, outside vent closed because it gets a little cold around here in the winter.

Now we have our layers.

Next comes the tiny detail work. I pop out the little pieces tucked inside the artwork (some are easier than others), glue everything together, and clamp the awards so they can set overnight.

The final finishing touch is engraving the back with�“Designed and built by Tahoe Gifting Co.”

Then they’re packaged up nice and safe and sent off to Snowfest to find their winners. 🏔️✨
