*update* We will not be able to open today as we're still waiting on a license from the city. Shouldn't be to long. I apologize for the late notice, I've been under the weather the last few days and forgot about it.

I dont care we're getting old, I'll eat pizza and drink cokes even if it kills me lol. I'm so excited for the new gears of war when it comes out in a few days! I got the gears of war controller yesterday and it's even cooler in person.

Is anyone trying the new Runescape: Dragonwilds? Derrick and Levi have both been playing it and are obsessed!

We think it's awesome and one of the best co-op experiences to come out in years! People of all ages and skill levels can enjoy playing this game together.

Let us know if you're enjoying it! If you're an experienced player and have some tips for us leave them in the comments!

Someone get this cow outta my house!

What's up everyone! Wanted to talk about some upcoming things with the new store! Events and more!

- Secret Santa community event will start here in October, date TBD.
For those unaware, Secret Santa is where you buy a gift for someone within the store and then you receive a gift back yourself! Think of it as a gift exchange but everyone is anonymous! Their is no minimum or maximum purchase amounts!

-Terrible game tournament #3, in November date TBD. Entry fees will be similar to last time, the game will not be revealed ahead of time as usual. We got more crappy trophies so find out who will be the king of crap this time!

- Free community swap meet / trade nights. Date/time TBD. We will for sure do another spring swap meet, and we've got a few ideas for a trade night we're working on.

We want to do some fun things to get people involved with the store and the greater local community. We want to do some things like an art contest and a free video game library for young people and new collectors similar to how we give away pokemon cards here in the store.

I will be trying to find time to work on something I'm calling the Community Collection. I've received ALOT of sweet gifts over the years and I'd like to display some of them as a Community Collection so everyone can see all the cool stuff we have received.

I'd like to also do a community trade up challenge! I know, I know everyone gets alittle tired of these but I think it would be fun to see what interesting trades we could come up with and eventually give away what we end up with to possibly a new collector and something along those line. What do you all think? Does anyone what to donate something to get us started?

I'd like to do some small things throughout the year such as drawing and costume contest with small prizes.

Let me know what you all want to do/see. I think we all, together as a Community, have a unique opportunity to make this store the best store in KC history. Let's all be a part of something and let's make this place thrive with friendships, memories, great events and maybe even some cool games and Collectibles.

So Rockstar is releasing a PHYSICAL GTA 6 soundtrack.....

Vinyl is supposed to be an outdated type of media, same as they are trying to make Blu- Ray.

This should make consumers realize that they are trying to not make game disc because they want to profit more, not because nobody will buy them.

If they can make a super limited run of a soundtrack be profitable then I'm sure selling millions of copies of a game disc would do the same.

We may still be closed for a few weeks but we do still have shipments coming in!

About 30 days ago I shipped off a factory sealed fallout 3 collectors edition for the xbox 360 that we've had in the store for awhile, to be graded by VGA.

It came back a VGA 90 which is the equivalent of a 9.6 wata/PSA. It is extremely hard to get good grades on these as the shrink wrap was very easily torn is the manufacturing process due to all the edges on the packaging.

We are VERY excited to have this graded games as well as many others in the store when we reopen! Hope everyone has a great week!

Happy national video games day! We're excited to see everyone again soon!
