How about a little Sunday evening Southern Truth:

We were raised knowing that you didn’t throw something away just because it was old.

You fixed it.

You patched it.

You found another use for it.

And sometimes you kept it simply because Daddy made it, Mama used it, or Grandma gave it to you.

Back then, everything didn’t have to be new to have value.

Maybe there’s a lesson in that.

Some of the best things in life aren’t replaceable.

👉 What’s something old you have that you’d never get rid of?

Christine King sent me this picture of Sunnyhill baptist church near Mt Hermon la. Picture was taken during our last big snow here in Louisiana.

Someone gave me 2 dozen yard eggs yesterday. I’m curious, do you find a difference between yard eggs and store bought? If so, what?

When I was a kid, if I was walking through the woods and found one of these lying on the ground looking like this, I got excited!

I knew exactly what it meant. 👀

Do YOU know what this is and why it looks like this?

If you know, DON’T GIVE THE ANSWER AWAY! 😂 Just comment “I KNOW!” and let everybody else keep guessing.

I want to see how many country folks know what I’m talking about!

A little more SOUTHERN TRUTH

We used to sit on the front porch and actually talk to each other.

No appointment needed.

Somebody pulled in the driveway, you hollered, “Come on up and sit awhile!”

The coffee might’ve already been cold, the house might not have been spotless, and nobody cared.

Because the visit mattered more than impressing anybody.

Maybe we don’t need more followers, likes, or notifications.

Maybe we just need a few more front-porch conversations. ❤️

👉 Anybody else miss those days?
