I’ve always loved this image! “The Kentuckian” by Tom Benton. Norma Productions was Burt Lancaster’s film company, he commissioned Benton for the artwork for the movie posters in 53’ and the paining was completed in 54’ about 1000 promotional copies like the one here were produced that same year. Lancaster kept the original painting until 1978 when he donated it to the L.A. County Museum. It’s up for grabs in the gallery! 🙂
