🚨 ✨ I said I’d be sharing some news tonight, well this is it! These first pics are the “before pics” for our future little berry farm! 😍 Yes, Berries! Over the next year we will be working on filling all this grass with rows of delicious berries including blackberry, raspberry, and blueberries! It’s going to take a few years for the plants to mature enough to produce much but as soon as it’s ready we’ll be offering U-pick! Yes, a little U-Pick Berry farm is coming to the shanty! 🥹
Today we broke ground on this operation and are starting with 100 Raspberry plants. The variety is called Prelude and they are very delicious (we also have them at our home) and they produce very well, but they are thorny, and then of course after I ordered them, I decided I want the farm to be all thornless berries 😅 So rather than put them in the rows, we are going to line the back of the property with them as it will be better than looking at the weeds/brush, and will be the only thorny ones we have.
