Kimberly Smith had a dream of becoming a published author. After self-publishing her first book of poetry with Outskirts Press, she decided to take the same route with her children’s books. Together with her illustrator and editor, they formed Peppermint Publishing and began working on a series of children’s books.

They are driven by a motivation to show other working mothers that it is never too late to accomplish your dreams, no matter what those dreams may be. Their goal is to one day offer a publishing package - including full-service production and distribution - to aspiring children’s book authors who would like the opportunity to be published.

Katya is a teacher at Perry Meridian High School, and she loves teaching people how to make their own ceramic things and other sculptural objects!

Katya's artwork consists of functional ceramic pieces. Each piece is made with care (handbuilt or wheel thrown) and given a glaze that enhances its features and details.

Wow, wow, wow, I'm so in love with Ashley Hayden and her beautiful artwork!

Ashley Hayden was born with a rare neurological disability called Coffin-Lowry Syndrome resulting in intellectual and physical differences. She has always enjoyed drawing in her daily journals as a way to record family, friends, TV shows, activities and objects around her in her everyday life.

In 2019 she began collaborating with her mother to create small canvases and notecards with her unique, cheerful image-making. She has a personal style which is reminiscent of Jean Dubuffet’s Art Brut or naive art which is art outside the academic tradition.
