The 5th Annual Meat Cake Invitational is officially in the books and it was one for the record books.
We are excited to announce that Elyse Beggs was crowned Meat King by the judges, and secured her World Food Championships Golden Ticket.Her entry “Not Zebra Cakes” pushed boundaries in every layer with a pork rind sponge cake, beef bone marrow marshmallow buttercream, and a white chocolate bone marrow coating.
Ieasha Ennis took home the People’s Choice Award and earned a Golden Ticket with her bourbon glaze bacon double cheeseburger creation featuring Kenny cheddar, velvet cheese, caramelized onions, jalapeño cheddar honey cornbread, garlic mashed potatoes, chives, and homemade butter pickles.
The competition was stiff, the creativity was off the charts, and every single entry brought something unforgettable to the table.
Huge thank you to all of our incredible art vendors, our judges, the Meat Dancers, Coney Danza, all of our volunteers, and everyone who came out and made the night what it was. Already looking forward to what next year brings.
