Flying W Awards

Flying W Awards Family owned designers & manufacturers of complete lines of awards and trophies since 1969. A pledge that has turned into a reputation we are proud of.

Founded in 1969 by Chuck and Linda Guedel, Flying W Awards has been a staple in our local community for decades. We take pride in our ability to meet our customer's deadlines while still providing the highest quality awards and service. Flying W Awards was founded on the idea that hard work and commitment should be rewarded. From a child's first sports season to the company associate who has dedic

ated himself for years, we want to help memorialize and honor these moments. We recognize that no matter how big or small these achievements are, they are equally important to the ones who accomplished them. It is because of this that we made our pledge to deliver high quality and accurate awards. Forty years later and Flying W Awards has been passed down the generation, from Chuck and Linda to their children, Christa and Christopher Guedel. While four decades have passed since Flying W Awards first opened its doors, the ideals and principles it was founded on remain timeless. Let us help you celebrate hard work and dedication that deserves to be rewarded.

This photo marks the end of an era. Carol has been our UPS driver for over 30 years. She has been here twice a day, every day, delivering parts for us in the morning and picking up outgoing shipments at night. Every single order we have made has been helped along the way because of her. If you have gotten an item from us, Carol was integral in that process - you can especially thank her if you had a rush order because she took the care to drop items off to us as early as possible so we could make tight deadlines happen. Yesterday was her last day as she takes off into her well deserved retirement. Bryan is handing her the last box she will ever take from us. It is bittersweet because we will miss seeing her smiling face every day, but we are so happy for her as she takes off into her next adventure! WE LOVE YOU CAROL. β€πŸ†πŸ₯Ή

We have some very exciting news to share. After a long and very thorough vetting process, we have finally hired a new employee. Please meet Argos - he’s still in training but he’s on track to stay 100% the best boy. He is at the shop every day, so if you hear yipping or the tapping of toes, just know he’s hard at work learning all the trade secrets. πŸ†

We can't lie... we're OBSESSED with this silver dragon scale column color. The way it reflects even the muted indoor lights of our production area is stunning. The iridescent, rainbow hue looks even better in sunlight at car shows... like where this Top 75 package is heading! 😎

We were thankful to get to work with the Burmese American Community Institute Inc to create medals for their Mini Olympics event for the World Refugee Day celebration. This event was designed to promote teamwork, leadership, healthy competition, and community engagement among the youth participants. The photos below show the 1st through 3rd place winning teams with their medals. We always love to see the awards we made being enjoyed by the recipients - and we love to support our community!πŸŽ–β€

Junior's family has indicated that the Memorial Cruise-In for Junior Anderson will be held on Sunday, May 3rd, from noon to 4:00 pm. It will be held at the Ritters near St. Francis Hospital, at Stop 11 and Emerson. Ritter's was a special place for Junior, so it is fitting to honor him there. Dash plates will be provided for all attendees. We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate a life well lived with so much kindness and service to others.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce that our beloved friend, coworker, and someone truly irreplaceable to us, Junior Anderson, has passed away. Anyone who came into contact with Junior knows what an amazing, loving, loyal, and giving person he was.

He had the biggest heart, the brightest smile, and the silliest sense of humor. For us at Flying W Awards, he was family. He has been an important part of our world for over 35 years. He helped us initially create car show packages, designed and launched our very first website just because he thought we needed one, and he took the time to spread the word about us through his own OldCarsOnly website, as well as posting about us on every single message board for car shows all over the country.

He and his wife, Deniece, hosted the car show in our dad's memory to benefit Alzheimer's disease for many years. He installed our first security system just because he worried about us, and at the first sign of snow, he was already securing someone to plow our parking lot before we even thought of it. When we were at peak season and working late nights to fill orders, he would come in and cut columns and build trophies. He always showed up with a big box of donuts and pitched in to help, no matter how he was feeling. He took care of every single one of us in so many ways.

We are so shocked and devastated to lose him so soon. A memorial cruise-in is being planned by his wife, Deniece, and once she has finalized plans for that event, we will post more information so everyone who loved him can come together and celebrate what an amazing man he was.
