Thanks for the well wishes and offers of Shop-Vacs. It's so nice to have a caring community!

Sorry for those of you that were confused by the post yesterday - we should have used more precise language, but in the midst of a giant mess, we were just trying to get the word out that we were closed and didn't have time for much else. For those that were curious, Iowa City is not in fact flooding - yesterday it was only raining inside the store! (The call...er...water... Is coming FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE!) Plumbing on the second floor had a big issue and came through our ceiling. Ceiling tiles and insulation fell into our bins. We were very lucky that only a tiny portion of the inventory was ruined. Don't worry about us!

A big thanks to Oscar and Jo for working VERY different shifts than what they expected to come in to and helping get all the muck cleaned off of things. Thanks to Kathy at the Art Mission for getting us some supplies in the midst of dealing with her own water problems, too. We really do appreciate our community!
