An update on the Yankee Doodle Sign. This is a sign for the Galena Glove & Mitten Co., ca. 1915. This small company started in Galena, IL and moved to Dubuque, IA. They made corn husking gloves during their early days. I have not found any comparable metal signs. Possibly unique.

These fellas sure do like their roosters. To be clear, I don't condone animal fighting. This vessel is an awfully nice piece of folk art. The decorated face that protrudes near the spout is intriguing. 6 3/4" Tall.

This 14" x 18" oil painting was/is dirty (3 layers of crud). The rocky coastline, the lighthouse, and the dory boat makes me think Maine. The children captured my attention. The sailor outfit, the boy's toy boat, and the girl's basket. Somewhere between naive and experienced painter. There is a signature in the lower left corner. Cleaning continues.
