We are excited to get the word out into the community about our project!
Thank you to everyone who has already donated- the items have been packaged and delivered.🍞🪡🌸

"If you’re blessed, be a blessing to someone else," are the words from Bel Floral owner Michelle Versteeg, to explain the spirit of the Petals, Pastries and Pantries project undertaken by three Iowa Falls businesses to gather food for local food pantries. Bel Floral, The Flour Shop, and The Fitting Room already share the same Washington Ave business space, now they share the same goal as well.

A LITTLE PETALS, PASTRIES, AND PANTRIES UPDATE ❤️
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated! We’ve received lots of spaghetti noodles, sauce, beans, corn, and other great staples. Now we just need help with the finishing touches that turn them into complete meals. Here are a few of the things that we need the most to complete the kits!
🍝 Parmesan, canned meat, veggies & fruit
🌶️ Chili seasoning, tomatoes, crackers & cornbread mix
🌮 Taco shells, seasoning, salsa & rice
🥞 Pancake mix, syrup, oatmeal & shelf-stable milk
Our goal is simple: one bag = one complete meal for a local family. ❤️

1 or 2 gallon freezer bags to help package the meals would be a great addition!

📣 WANT TO HELP?
Grab one extra “finishing touch” item while you’re shopping and drop it off with us!
Every item helps us complete another meal kit. ❤️

🌻🥫💐 TODAY’S THE DAY!
Petals, Pastries & Pantries officially starts tomorrow, September 15th! ❤️
Bel Floral, The Fitting Room & The Flour Shop are teaming up to help stock community pantries serving all of Hardin County, and we’re starting with a goal of:
🥫 150 DONATED ITEMS!
Grab an extra box of pasta, jar of sauce, canned goods, peanut butter, dish soap or another pantry staple while you’re out shopping. A couple items at a time can add up fast when a whole community joins in.
🧥 The Fitting Room is also collecting kids’ AND adults’ winter coats. And don’t worry if the zipper is busted or it needs a little TLC. Bring it anyway!
Maybe we hit our goal. Maybe we blow right past it. 👀
Let’s fill some shelves, share some warmth, and take care of our neighbors. ❤️

🧥 And while we’re taking care of our neighbors… The Fitting Room is also collecting winter coats for the Coat Drive. If there’s a warm coat hanging in your closet that could keep someone else cozy this winter, we’d be so grateful to give it a new home. ❤️

Let’s fill those pantries, share some warmth, and take good care of our little corner of the world.

🌻💐👗 SOMETHING BIG IS BLOOMING IN IOWA FALLS… 👀
The Flour Shop 🧁
Bel Floral 💐
The Fitting Room 👗
Three local businesses. One BIG idea. ❤️
We may do completely different things, but we all have one thing in common:
We LOVE our community.
So we’ve been cooking up something behind the scenes involving giving back, local businesses, and maybe a little friendly competition. 👀😂
We’re not spilling the details quite yet…
WHAT DO YOU THINK WE’RE UP TO? ⬇️
🌻💐👗 Stay tuned. Something good is coming!
