2026 Hookin’ in Columbia South Carolina
Are you signed up?
Are you as excited as we are?

We know that 386 of you are! And we are looking forward to seeing you all in a few weeks! It’s hard to believe it’s almost time to welcome you to the Hookin! Here are a few things to help you be ready and know what to expect.

The Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center,
1101 Lincoln Street, Columbia, SC. 29202
The hours are 9-4 Tuesday and Wednesday and 9-3 on Thursday

We do have a few spots open to attend for 1,2 or all 3 days! But we are almost full!
Hotel and lodging info is on our website under the lodging tab

The shop in Irmo is closed from Sunday to Thursday, BUT we will be open Friday from 10-4, please be aware we will be a bit disheveled because of the show. But we are excited for you to see the shop and why we love the area so much! The shops address, if you want to come Saturday before the show or Friday after the show, is 1751 Kennerly road, Irmo, SC 29063 we are 18 miles from the show, so 20 minutes.

Food
There will be a cafe open in the center with beverages and food items for you to purchase. Please be aware that like, every large event location, no outside food is allowed to be brought in.

Parking
There is plenty of free parking at the center and paid parking across the road. You access the center on the lower level or the upper level. There are elevators and an escalator to bring you to the upper level where the show is.

Check in information
Check in opens at 8:30 the doors into the event open at 9 am for registered attendees and 10 am for walk in shoppers. (Tuesday am is crazy. Arriving closer to 9 am ensures much less waiting to check in.)
You will receive a packet with your info for any classes, and other details at check in.

Seating
We have plenty of room and seats for everyone. If you are a group of 5-6 or more and have not let us know your in a group and would like to sit together, please touch base with us. We are doing reserved tables for groups to help with the stress of everyone sitting together. We need one person to contact us as the group leader and the names of everyone sitting together. If you are traveling alone or there are 3-4 of you don’t worry. There are plenty of seats and this is not assigned seating. We are only trying to help larger groups sit together.

Demos
Each day we will have an assortment of demos put on by our vendors in the demo room at the end of the ballroom. There will be a schedule in your packet and on the table each day. Please note this is subject to change due to vendors schedules.
These are fun little ideas, tips and projects and a nice way to get to know many of our great vendors. The free demos are for registered attendees only, not walk in day shoppers.

Rug Show Information
Here’s a few tips to be ready!
Rug and ornament check in will open at 8:30
Please bringing a couple of rugs to display at the rug show. Or more if you want to! Everyone loves seeing them! When you arrive please check in and pick up your registration packet and then go to the rug and ornaments check in area.
You will check in the rug show items and ornaments separately.

For your rugs
They MUST have a label on the back with your name and rug info. We will record the piece and You will receive a ticket for each rug and each rug will have the matching ticket attached to the back. Do not loose this ticket, you must show it to pick up your rugs at the end of the show. We welcome Hooked rugs, Oxford punched rugs, Wool Applique and mini punched pieces.

There will be ribbons and award certificates for each category plus “Best in Show”
All awards will be made Thursday afternoon around 2 pm.

For the ornaments
Please make sure your name and state is on the back of your ornaments. It’s fine to do your first name and initial for last name if you rather. A sharpie works great and it’s just nice to know where these are all from. You will receive a ticket telling us how many your brought in. When you leave you will bring us the ticket and we will give you back as many differnt ornaments as you brought.

Vendors
We have 28 awesome vendors from all over the country coming to provide you with a huge selection of wooly goodness! From Maine to Florida, to the mid USA there will be so many fun things to temp you! And don’t forget we will have “The Sharpener Guy” there to sharpen your favorite scissors and your Bliss or Frazier cutter heads!

To continue with the next 3 shows we call
“Walk the Wool Room With Us!”

We started at the white, natural, lights and work our way through the wool room to browns, blacks, golds and oranges! Thursday will be reds, pinks and purples.
Friday will be blues to teals.
And Saturday will be all the greens!

With over 200 bolts of different wools it has taken 6 shows to cover it all! All orders from these 3 shows and the last 3 shows will be held to combine orders and ship,everything Monday am.
So don’t forget! Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 4pm!
We are combining orders and adjusting shipping and remember $175 ships free!

Did you catch this afternoons live show? We are doing the walk the wool room series and so far we are half way around the room.
Day 1 was all the natural, creams, lights and lightest tans and grays.
Day 2 was darker tans, browns and antique blacks
Day 3, today was all the golds and oranges and rusty pumpkin colors.
Thursday we will be doing the reds, pinks and purples, Friday we will do the blues and teals and Saturday will be allll the greens! There are A LOT of greens! But the three shows from this weekend are not the only lives you can watch in replay! It goes back 2 months with fun stuff, tips, ideas and small projects! They are there waiting for you to watch and still shop from any time you like! We will,combine any orders to ship together if you would like us to. And remember $175 gets free shipping! So we will combine and ship together these orders and refund the shipping. Thanks for watching and supporting us!
