Vendor, Consignor & Customer Update

I want everyone to know the truth about what’s happening. We were told yesterday that because we will not rent the upstairs for $1,000 per month, we will have to move. When we explained that we haven’t found another building and said we would rent the whole space just to keep the store open, we were told they already have other plans for the building. We have to be out by October 31st. 😭😭😭😭

I’ll be asking the public to help us find a new location so we can move together and keep the market strong. Your booths and your business are safe, and I’ll keep everyone updated as we move forward.

RAN'L MCCOY AND THE CLAN AT THE WELL.

This rare photograph, originally published in the Omaha Bee in April 1902, captures members of the Pike County McCoy family gathered around a well at the old McCoy homeplace. According to the newspaper’s original caption, the group included clan patriarch Randolph “Ol’ Ran’l” McCoy, standing at the far right in the front row, with white mustache.

The photograph offers a remarkable glimpse into the McCoy family just a few years after the infamous Hatfield-McCoy Feud. The location may have been the Randolph and Sally McCoy former log cabin site—the very place associated with the tragic New Year’s Day Massacre of 1888, when the McCoy home was set on fire, and the feud reached one of its darkest chapters.

More than a century later, this image remains a powerful visual connection to the people and places that shaped one of Appalachia’s most famous accounts.
